From the depths of a slump.

I took an accidental trip down memory lane last night. It started innocently enough. I was looking for a particular post from last August, which led me to clicking and clicking and more clicking until I had read at least 15 pages from the past year. And I discovered something..

I'm in a slump as of late. A blogging slump, that is. It's pretty apparent. Though I've been trying, in vain, to pull myself out of it. I'm barely treading water, waiting impatiently for the school year to come to a close. For days that aren't so structured. For days that move a little slower.

By the time I get all the kids in bed and the house tidied up for the night, the only thing I feel like doing is putting my feet up and vegging out in front of the TV with le husband.

And then there's that whole "I'm almost into from my third trimester" thing. The final stretch of pregnancy is almost here and guess what..

Not counting the super quick conversation I had with one of my doctors about what kid of delivery I want (THE E WORD {epidural} SHALL NOT BE MUTTERED WITHIN TEN FEET OF MY DELIVERY ROOM.) I haven't done a damn thing to prepare. I'm really taking procrastination to a whole new level.

I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that I need to start writing and shooting again.

Stick around, will ya?

  1. I feel the exactly the same way and I am only in my second trimester. Being a Mom is hard enough without the extra strain of pregnancy to take into account. I am sure all your readers will be sympathetic to your situation.

  2. I completely understand why you aren't able to write much. I enjoy reading every time you post! I'm definitely not going anywhere! You take care of you and yours and if someone doesn't understand that to hell with them..have a great day!

  3. i understand completely. i have been in a slump too but you know what? we have a lot going at home and in school and we're pregnant! it's only natural once the kids are asleep we want to relax. take it easy and enjoy your quiet time while you have it with your husband.
